Job Description

Design Edge is an industrial design consultancy located in Belrose, near the northern beaches of Sydney. Our product and engineering R & D services include electrical, business and consumer products for a diverse range of Australian and international clients. Many products are for the global market.

Design Edge has full-time positions for two Industrial Designers to work in our collaborative team studio. As well as concept idea development and presentation work, the people we are seeking will be required to do engineering detailing and manufacturing drafting.

One position requires about 4 years and the other about 2 years industry experience. Skills need to cover:

• product concept development
• concept sketching and presentations
• engineering / manufacturing detailing
• preparation of manufacturing specifications
• experience with 3D modeling software, preferably SolidEdge
• project, supplier and time management
• excellent team and communication skills

In addition, experience in the use of Illustrator and Photoshop would be an advantage.
